Bedlinen is included in the price. For hygenic reasons it is not allowed to bring your own bedlinen, pillows or sleeping bags!
BICYCLES
I don’t have space for secure bicycle parking in my hostel, but Radspeicher around the corner offers just that: https://radspeicher.de/parken/
It’s 0,80€ for the night. They have two decks, one is locked over night, the other is accessible 24/7. The website is not available in English, but I am sure they can answer your email or phonecall.
BREAKFAST
Lueneburg has so many nice little cafés, that it is not neccessary to offer breakfast 😉 Please ask at reception for advice where to go. You are welcome to prepare yourself your own yummy breakfast in the kitchen. Tea and coffee are free, bread and buns can be purchased at Corners in the train station or Bäckerei Harms at Ilmenaugarten.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 4 p.m. If you arrive until 11:30 a.m. you can store your luggage here until check-in. Late check in only after previous notification.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out is until 11:00 a.m. at the latest. You can store your luggage during the day.
CITY TAX
The city of Lueneburg charges a city tax for all stays. No matter if they are private or business related. Students are not exempted anymore and have to pay city pax also.

HAIR DRYER
There is one hair dryer in every ladies bathroom. Gents, please ask at reception.
LOCATION/TRAFFIC NOISE
The hostel is located next to the train station / central bus station and in walking distance to the city center. You can reach us easily by bus, train, taxi and bicycle, bus stops and parking garages are around the corner. Of course you can hear trains and buses, but all rooms are equipped with soundproof windows and ventilation. I do not recommend sleeping with open windows. As a precaution I recommend you bring earplugs, a good idea for those of you that sleep in a dorm anyways 😉
LUGGAGE
You can store your kuggage before or after check-in in the hostel during the day. On sundays I am only here til noon.
PAYMENT
Please pay cash or with EC-card from 50€ upwards on arrival. Credit card payment for foreign travellers only and with a surcharge of 2,5%.
PARKING
There is no parking at Salzquartier, but two spaces for loading/unloading in front of the house. You can park your car in the parking garage close to the station: https://lueneparken.de/parkhaeuser/am-bahnhof/
There is free parking at Sülzwiesen, approx. 20 minutes by foot.
PETS
Pets are not allowed in the Hostel.
SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed in the entire house, especially not in the rooms. All the rooms are equipped with smoke detectors that make a mean noise! Who smokes inside the hostel nevertheless has to pay for the extra cleaning work and the occuring vacancy of the room.
TOWELS
Towels are not included in the price. You can rent them for a small surcharge (1€ for a regular towel/2€ for a bath towel) or bring your own.
TV
The hostel doesn’t have a TV. Neither in the rooms nor in the living room. There are books and board games though.
WIFI
Free. You get vouchers at the reception. At some rooms the internet connection might be disturbed by radio waves caused through proximity to the railway. In any case it should work better in the kitchen/lounge area. If you need a good wifi connection for work it might be better to find a workspace or café that offers fast internet
