Dear guests,
on May 25th 2018 the GDPR has come into effect. I am not good either in law nor construction and functionality of a website. There are professionals for things like that. I prefer to take care of a clean hostel and my guests’ wishes 😉
That is why I decided to write down what happens to your data.
It concerns your name, address, phone number and email address.
Requests via website:
when you send a booking request through my website, I receive an email and answer it. I enter the provided data into my online booking account at Loventis. If a booking emerges, the data stays in my booking acount, if not I delete it. Emails (via all-inkl.com) and the booking requests that are saved on my website (WordPress) are deleted on a regular basis, at the latest when the requested date is over.
Requests via phone:
accordingly I enter the provided data in my online booking account at Loventis. If it doesn’t come to a booking, I delete your data. Otherwise the data stays in the booking system. I delete my call register regularly, likewise my answering machine.
Requests via email:
when you send your request via email to welcome@salzquartier.de, I enter your data in my online booking account at Loventis. If it doesn’t come to a booking, I delete your data. Otherwise the data stays in the booking system. I delete my emails regularly.
Verification for city tax/lodging tax:
If it comes to a booking I make a note if you stay here for private or business reasons because of the city tax that Lueneburg charges for tourists. The authority recieves information about the total amount of guests, how many of them stay for private reasons, the length of their stay and how much they paid, but no personal data. To verify that your stay is business related guests can either fill in a form provided by the city of Lueneburg, bring any other written proof or show their student card of Leuphana University. I have to keep these verifications for a possible inspection conducted by the authorities.
Additional informationen:
Sometimes I write down notes with your booking. For example, if you travel with kids, how old they are, if you come by car, need a baby bed, if you check out early before the reception opens or if you prefer to have your invoice send by mail rather than a printout. Simple things I can’t remember for all my guests.
